Seventh Annual Conference on Competition Law, Economics and Policy - 5/6 September

Patrick Smith will present a paper co-written with Andrew Swan at the Seventh Annual Conference on Competition Law, Economics and Policy organised by the Competition Commission, together with the Competition Tribunal, Mandela Institute at Wits School of Law, and the Centre for Competition Economics at the University of Johannesburg, to be held on the 5th and 6th of September.  The paper draws on recent developments from South Africa, the European Commission and the UK, to discuss policy considerations relating to the quantification of damages and effects-based cartel enforcement more generally, across administrative proceedings and follow-on damages claims, including class actions.
