We are delighted to host the upcoming meeting of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e. V.'s Brussels Regional Group on 26 June 2025, focusing on recent developments concerning the transaction value threshold in merger control.
The event will be held in our new Brussels office where the evening will begin with presentations on the evolving legal and economic interpretation of transaction value thresholds in Germany and Austria, followed by drinks and canapes.
Speakers
Patrick Bock, Cleary Gottlieb (Brussels), will discuss the Bundeskartellamt’s recent decision to decline jurisdiction in the Edwards/JenaValve transaction.
Jonas Levermann, Freshfields (Brussels), will offer insight into the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court's rulings in the Adobe/Magento and Marketo cases, particularly around the criterion of substantial domestic activity.
Gerhard Fussenegger, bpv Hügel (Brussels), will touch on parallels in Austria, in relation to the Cartel Higher Court’s decision in Edwards/JenaValve.
Annabelle Jochem
