RBB report on payment systems in Australia published

The Reserve Bank of Australia (the “RBA”) is conducting a Review of Card Payments Regulation in Australia.  RBB was asked to examine the policy options raised in relation to interchange and surcharging regulation and, in light of the available evidence, to consider the implications of applying them to three-party schemes.  RBB advised American Express Australia, alongside lawyers, Minter Ellison.  The RBB report is available on the RBA’s website here.
