Willy Goelz

Willy is a Senior Associate at RBB Economics, based in Amsterdam. He joined RBB in 2023 and has previously worked in the Stockholm office. Willy has advised clients on a wide range of competition matters before the European Commission and national competition authorities. He holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge.

Willy’s work spans sectors such as transport and automotive, chemicals, house building, sports, and digital platforms. He has worked for clients in high-profile matters in Europe, including Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK.

He has experience in merger investigations, litigation (including follow-on damages actions) and abuse of dominance proceedings. Willy regularly supports clients with the preparation of economic evidence and expert reports in complex competition law cases.

Willy holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Economics from the Amsterdam University College. A German national, he is fluent in German and English.
