Tolga Benzer

Tolga is a Senior Associate based in RBB's Helsinki office. He joined the firm in 2023. He has advised clients on a wide range of competition matters, including merger investigations and horizontal agreements, before the European Commission and national competition authorities across multiple jurisdictions.

Since joining, Tolga has advised clients on merger investigations and horizontal agreements, including alleged restriction of competition inquiries. He has provided advice before the European Commission and before a variety of national competition authorities, including the UK's Competition and Markets Authority, the Swedish and French Competition Authorities, and the competition authorities of Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, India, and Turkey.

Tolga's experience covers a wide range of sectors including aviation, food retail, telecommunications, financial markets, GenAI, semiconductor design tools, and maritime data and analytics.

Tolga holds a PhD in Economics from Aalto University, an MA in Economics and Finance from Bogazici University, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the joint programme of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Istanbul Technical University.

A Turkish and Finnish national, Tolga is fluent in Turkish and English.
