Toby is an Associate Principle at RBB Economics, based in London. He has a wide range of experience in the application of econometrics and economic theory.
In his time at RBB, Toby has advised clients on mergers before the European Commission and the UK Competition and Markets Authority. He has also developed arguments and evidence in support of litigation cases.
Toby’s experience covers a variety of matters, including mergers involving both horizontal and non-horizontal issues, cartel investigations and litigation matters. Since rejoining RBB, Toby has been advising clients to a high-profile JV through the regulatory process before the CMA, as well as advising on litigation for the UK Employment Tribunal.
In his time away from RBB, while completing his PhD, Toby has advised the UK and foreign Governments, including the no. 10 Delivery Unit, the Treasury and The Department of Health and Social Care on demand for health services, obesity policy and the use of econometric and data science models in designing health policy.
He has contributed to publications in Industrial Economics and published numerous articles on applied econometrics and health policy.
Toby holds a PhD in Economics from the University of London, an MSc in Economics (with distinction) from University College London and a BSc in Economics (with First Class Honours) from the University of Bristol.
