Steffen is an Associate Principal based in the Madrid office of RBB Economics. He holds an MSc in Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and a BSc in Economics from the University of Mannheim. Steffen is a native German speaker and fluent in English and Spanish.
Since joining RBB in 2018, Steffen has worked extensively on competition matters under EU and national law. His experience spans mergers involving both horizontal and vertical issues, abuse of dominance and cartel cases.
Clients Steffen has worked with include Nordzucker, Japan Airlines, Covestro, DSM, Metso, Outotec, Unipost and FORTA.
Steffen’s sectoral experience expands a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, aviation, broadcasting activities, advertising, chemicals, postal services and sugar production.
