Dr Tim Reuter is recognized as Future Leader and described as an “extremely accurate, concise and thorough expert ”who “sees the bigger picture” by Who’s Who Legal. Tim is based in Düsseldorf, where he transferred after spending several years in RBB’s Brussels office. He has worked on competition economics matters for more than 10 years.
Tim holds a Diploma and a PhD in competition economics from the University of Konstanz. He also conducted research at the Center for Advanced Studies in Law and Economics, University of Bonn. His practice covers merger control, horizontal and vertical agreements and abuse of dominance investigations. He also advises in private litigation and acts as expert witness in cartel damages cases. Tim has advised on cases conducted by the European Commission, national authorities in Germany, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Singapore and South Africa, and in front of European and national courts.
Prior to joining RBB, Tim was stagiaire at DG Comp, where he was involved in a merger prohibition and another phase II merger investigation.
Tim has published widely on competition law and economics topics. Some of his recent articles are published in the Global Competition Litigation Review, the Review of Industrial Organization, the European Journal of Law and Economics and the Encyclopaedia of Law and Economics.
Tim is native in German, fluent in English and has a good understanding of French.
