
Christian Ehmer

Christian Ehmer is a Partner at RBB Economics and is currently based in Düsseldorf and London. Since joining RBB in 2004, he has published on a range of competition issues, including the estimation of cartel overcharges, and co-authored RBB responses to draft guidelines issued by various competition authorities.
Christian has advised clients on mergers raising both horizontal and vertical concerns and covering a wide range of sectors, both before the European Commission and before national competition authorities in Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands. He has also advised clients in a number of litigation and arbitration cases involving both Article 101 and Article 102 disputes. Christian has conducted overcharge and damage assessments in various cartel matters, advising clients both during investigations conducted by the European Commission and on a damage litigation cases in front of national courts in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands.
Christian’s experience spans a wide range of sectors, including energy, transport, electronic telecommunications, broadcasting services, pharmaceuticals, advertising, banking, manufacturing, fast moving consumer goods, online search services and automotive fuels retailing.
Christian studied economics at Maastricht University and at the University of California, Berkeley. As a German national, he is fluent in German, English and Dutch.
