Annabelle Jochem is a Principal based in RBB’s Düsseldorf office. She joined RBB in 2019, having already worked for several years as a competition economist in Germany. Annabelle holds an MSc in Economic Studies, specialising in Competition and Regulation, from Maastricht University. Annabelle is fluent in German and English and has a working knowledge of French.
Annabelle has provided economic advice in phase I and phase II mergers and acquisitions notified at the European Commission and national competition authorities in Austria, Germany and Poland. Moreover, she supported clients in cartel proceedings before the European Commission and follow-on cartel damages claims. Annabelle also advised clients in abuse of dominance cases, e.g. in the assessment of rebate schemes.
Her industry experience includes advertising, the automotive sector, cement and ready-mixed concrete, district heating, food retailing, fuel retailing, industrial gases, payment cards, sugar and telecommunication.
