U.S. – E.U. Legal Summit

Patrick Smith spoke at the U.S. – E.U. Legal Summit which took place in Brussels on the 16th of June. Patrick joined a panel discussion on how to anticipate the effects of merger control on corporate transactions. The panel discussed the renewed debate surrounding the legal and economic assessment of minority shareholdings, as well as jurisdictional issues such as referrals to regional authorities, and the interaction and cooperation between global agencies.
