On 22 December 2025, the Swedish Competition Authority (SCA) cleared Telia Company AB’s acquisition of sole control of Bredband2 i Skandinavien AB.
The SCA had opened a Phase II investigation in October 2025, focusing on the horizontal overlap in fibre-based broadband subscriptions for end customers. The Authority concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the supply of broadband subscriptions in Sweden.
