On 1 November 2023, the Swedish Competition Authority (SCA), unconditionally cleared REMONDIS Maintenance & Services’s acquisition of Delete Group Oyj.
Following a Phase II investigation, the Swedish Competition Authority found that the merger was likely to restrict the competition for industrial sanitation services in local markets in the north of Sweden and intended to prohibit the transaction. But, following the parties’ response to a Statement of Objections and a hearing with SCA officials, the authority decided to unconditionally clear the transaction.
