RBB calculates damage in 15-year old legal dispute

In December 2012, RBB produced its final report in the context of a dispute between the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands (SER) and the Dutch trade union of pig producers (NVV). The dispute concerned prices for certain vaccines used by Dutch pig farmers in the 1990s. These prices were fixed by decree at the time. However, this was subsequently found unlawful.RBB was jointly retained by both parties to determine the counterfactual price level (i.e. prices that would have prevailed in the absence of the decree) and to assess the damage. RBB calculated the damage to be around €16 million.RBB's report (in Dutch) can be downloaded at:http://www.ser.nl/~/media/Files/Internet/persberichten/2012/20121214-nadeel-aujeszky-eindrapport.ashx
