Benoît DurandBenoît DurandBenoît DurandManaging Partner has assumed the role of RBB Economics' Managing Partner for a three-year term starting 1 April, succeeding Adrian MajumdarAdrian MajumdarAdrian MajumdarPartner, who has stepped down from the role at the conclusion of his tenure.

Under Adrian's leadership over the past three years, the firm has achieved significant and sustainable growth, expanding to 18 offices globally and to more than 300 competition economists, while maintaining a culture centred on quality, clarity, and collegiality. The firm gives its sincere thanks to Adrian for his energy, commitment, and passion for RBB, and for the lasting contribution he has made during an exceptional period in the firm's development. Adrian continues at the firm as a Partner, and remains one of the most respected competition economists in the UK and Europe.

Benoît has been a Partner at RBB since 2008 and brings deep experience across all areas of competition policy and enforcement. He regularly advises on the highest profile cases before the European Commission and numerous other jurisdictions. He is also an accomplished testifying expert. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Director of Economic Analysis at the UK's Competition Commission, now part of the Competition and Markets Authority, and was a member of the Chief Economist Team at DG Competition at the European Commission.

As Managing Partner, Benoît will build on the strong foundations laid by the firm's founding Partners — Derek Ridyard, Simon Bishop, and Simon Baker — almost 25 years ago. Having played an active role in shaping and supporting the firm's strategy over many years, he is well placed to lead RBB through its next chapter, with a focus on sustainable growth, modernising the firm's operations, and continuity in culture and client service.

As he begins his term as Managing Partner, Benoît Durand shares: "I am honoured to take on the role of Managing Partner and grateful for the confidence placed in me by my Partners. Adrian's leadership over the past three years has been exceptional and has positioned the firm extremely well. As we continue to grow, we are investing further in our staff and how we run the firm to ensure that RBB remains as collegial and efficient as it is intellectually excellent. My ambition is simple: to ensure that RBB remains the leading competition economics consultancy across every market where we operate — delivering analysis that is recognised for its rigour and credibility by clients, counsel, and competition authorities alike."
