Publicis Group and Omnicom receive clearance for merger

In January 2014 the European Commission cleared a merger between Publicis Group and Omnicom which will create the world’s biggest advertising company.Earlier, the deal was unconditionally approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia. The Russian competition authority considered whether the proposed transaction was likely to lead to the creation of a dominant position and weakening of competition.RBB Economics advised the merging parties throughout their Russian notification, working alongside their legal advisors Latham & Watkins, Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier and Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners.
