RBB Economics advises Dutch Healthcare Authority

On 15 December 2006, the Dutch Health Care Authority published a consultation document on Significant Market Power (SMP). In this document, the Authority sets out its proposed use of powers to impose obligations on firms with SMP in order to promote effective competition on the Dutch healthcare markets. The Authority intends to prioritise solving issues related to seller power rather than buyer power, and issues related to exclusion rather than exploitation. RBB contributed to the drafting of the document. The full consultation document (only available in Dutch) can be found here.
