Allegations against Oracle dropped in Spain

On 27 February 2013, the Spanish competition authority (CNC) closed its investigation into Oracle. The investigation followed a complaint by HP that Oracle had engaged in anticompetitive behaviour by originally announcing to discontinue all software development for Intel’s Itanium microprocessor, HP being the largest vendor of Itanium-based systems.  However, the CNC did not find any competition law infringement. RBB advised Oracle alongside lawyers Clifford Chance throughout the investigation conducted by the CNC.
