Clément is a Senior Associate in RBB’s Paris office. He moved to Paris in 2019 having joined the Brussels office in 2017. Clément holds a master’s degree in Economics and Markets Organisation from the Toulouse School of Economics. A French national, he is fluent in French and English.
Since joining RBB, Clément has worked on competition matters before the European Commission, and local competition authorities in France and the Netherlands notably. His merger experience includes European Phase II mergers (EssilorLuxottica/GrandVision, Siemens/Alstom and Tronox/Cristal), complex European Phase I investigations (Veolia/Suez), as well as other transactions in Europe and elsewhere.
Clément’s experience includes work on merger cases raising both horizontal and vertical concerns, on cartel investigations and on vertical agreements. He has worked across a wide range of sectors, including water and waste management, eyewear, rail transport, fast moving consumer goods, steel, industrial chemicals and mining.
Clément has also experience of analysing local markets across a variety of industries including optical retail and supermarket chains.
