Tristan is a Principal at RBB Economics, based in Brussels and Paris. He has extensive experience advising clients on a wide variety of competition matters before the European Commission, the French Competition Authorities as well as many other competition authorities around the world (in the context of multi-jurisdictional mergers notably).

Tristan’s experience includes complex mergers and acquisitions, raising horizontal, vertical and conglomerate concerns. He also has extensive experience on antitrust investigations, including abuse of dominant position, alleged information exchanges, cartel investigations and follow-on damages.

Tristan has provided economic advice across a wide range of sectors. Clients he has recently worked for include AB InBev, Alstom, Apple, Bouygues Telecom, BP, Google, Hertz, Hydro, Nexans, Reckitt Benckiser, Tarkett, Tech Data, TF1, Tronox, Veolia and Vivendi.

Tristan publishes academic articles in journals to guide industry outlook on competition issues. He recently published an article on “Digital conglomerates and killer acquisitions” in Concurrences discussing the competitive effects of start-up acquisitions by digital platforms.

Tristan holds an MSc in Economics and Statistics from ENSAE ParisTech and an MSc in Management from HEC Paris (Grande Ecole program). He also studied at Tsinghua University in Beijing where he took classes in the MBA program.
