Dr Tim Reuter is a Senior Associate based in Düsseldorf. Tim has advised firms in the context of merger control, horizontal and vertical agreements and abuse of dominance investigations conducted by the European Commission and national authorities such as the Bundeskartellamt. He also has provided economic advice during private enforcement proceedings, including cartel damages cases.

Tim holds a Diploma and a PhD in economics from the University of Konstanz, with a doctoral thesis on the “Economic Analysis of Competition Law Enforcement”. He also has been researcher at the Center for Advanced Studies in Law and Economics (University of Bonn) and has published on competition law and economics in journals such as the Glob Comp Lit Rev, the Rev Ind Organ and the Eur J Law Econ.

His industry experience includes trucks, telecommunication, online distribution, advertising, payment services, music rights, hotels, postal services, branded consumer goods and various industrial products.

Tim’s experience includes a stage at DG Comp in 2012, where he was involved in two Phase II merger control cases. He was based in RBB’s Brussels office before moving to Düsseldorf in 2018.
