Paulo is a Principal based in the London office of RBB Economics. Since joining RBB in 2011, he has worked on mergers raising horizontal, conglomerate and vertical concerns before the European Commission, as well as national competition authorities in Australia, Brazil, Iceland, Portugal, South Africa and the UK. He has also advised clients in investigations into alleged Article 102 infringements, and follow-on damages cases. Paulo is part of the RBB team advising Google on various competition matters including Search and android.
Paulo’s experience spans a wide range of sectors, including rail services, pharmaceuticals, airlines, construction materials, petrol refining and retail, telecommunications, online search, mobile operating systems and retail markets.
Paulo studied economics at the Universidade Nova, in Lisbon, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona.
