Matthijs Visser joined RBB in 2004 and is based in The Hague. Matthijs has worked as a consulting economist since 2001. Prior to this he worked the Dutch Competition Authority (NMa) and the European Commission’s DG Competition.
Matthijs has advised clients on a wide range of competition issues under EU and national law, including mergers and acquisitions, abuse of dominance and cartel investigations, State aid and competition law related litigation and arbitration matters, including damages claims. In addition he has significant experience in advising clients on economic issues relating to sector specific regulation in the electronic communication markets and in other regulated sectors such as energy, post and aviation.
