Lily Samkharadze is a Senior Associate based in The Hague office of RBB Economics. She holds PhD in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University (awarded in 2012), MA in Economics from the Kyiv School of Economics (awarded in 2007) and BA in Economics from the Tbilisi State University (awarded in 2005). She was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice at the University of East Anglia in 2018.
Prior to joining RBB in 2019, Lily worked as a Lecturer in Competition Economics at the Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia during January 2016-January 2019. During August 2012-January 2016, sheworked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Mannheim University and the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI).
Lily has published research papers in internationally peer reviewed journals and presented her work on competition economics at multiple academic seminars and conferences in Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States. Lily has also lectured undergraduate and graduate level courses on Industrial Organization, Competition and
Consumer Policy, Business Economics and Responsible Business at the Mannheim University and the University of East Anglia.
In her research work, Lily has analyzed a variety of competition issues, including anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominance, strategic response of buyers to collusion and collusion in two-sided markets.
