Liam Biser is a Senior Associate based in the London office of RBB Economics. Since joining RBB, Liam has advised on a wide range of competition law cases across a variety of industries. He holds an MSc in Economics (with Distinction) from UCL and a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Oxford.
Liam has worked on several high-profile competition matters covering mergers raising horizontal and vertical concerns, abuse of dominance investigations and sector inquires. He has also assisted in the preparation of expert reports. Liam has advised clients including Google, Siemens, Saudi Aramco, British American Tobacco, and ArcelorMittal.
His experience includes cases before the European Commission, as well as before numerous national competition authorities, including those in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Latin America, China, and South Korea.
Liam’s experience also encompasses a range of industries, including internet search, rail transport, travel, flat carbon steel, petrochemicals, cosmetics and tobacco.
He also has extensive experience in the online advertising sector, having advised Google before various jurisdictions.
Liam is fluent in English and German.
