Charles is an Associate Principal based in RBB’s Madrid office. He joined in 2014 after completing an MSc in Economics at University College London and a BSc in Economics at the University of East Anglia.
Since joining RBB Economics, Charles has worked extensively on competition matters before the European Commission, the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority and Financial Conduct Authority, as well as national competition authorities in China and South Korea. These have involved mergers and acquisitions, abuse of dominance investigations and market investigations.
Charles has worked across a wide range of sectors, including asset management, eyewear, express delivery services, investment consulting, marine safety and sports broadcasting. He also has extensive experience of analysing local markets across a variety of sectors including dentistry, fitness and leisure and private healthcare.
He has advised clients including Aon Hewitt, Bupa, David Lloyd Leisure, FedEx, Liberty Media Corporation, Nestlé, Tronox and Western Digital.
In 2017 Charles spent six months on secondment at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission acting as an economist on merger, abuse of dominance and market investigation matters.
