RBB welcomes new Partner Katie Curry

RBB Economics announces the arrival of new Partner Katie Curry to the London office.  

With twenty years’ experience as a competition economist, Katie works across a broad range of matters including mergers, litigation, Competition Act investigations, market studies and regulatory reviews. 

Previously an Economics Director at Ofcom, Katie brings to the firm substantial competition and regulatory expertise, as well as a deep understanding of telecoms and digital markets. She is an experienced testifying expert and has given evidence at the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal and other courts. Katie has significant expertise in the application of quantitative techniques to competition policy questions and was formerly the Head of Econometrics at the Office of Fair Trading (a predecessor of the UK Competition and Markets Authority). 

RBB’s managing partner, Adrian Majumdar welcomes Katie to the Partnership. He adds ‘having significant public sector experience, Katie provides our clients with a first-hand perspective and practical understanding of merger control, competition enforcement and regulation from both sides of the table. Her experience as an expert witness is a great addition to our litigation offer.’ 

Earlier in her career Katie spent time at RBB before joining Ofcom. Katie shares ‘I’m delighted to rejoin the RBB team.
