An order from the South Africa Competition Appeal Court has cleared the way for eMedia to apply for further interim protection against an alleged abuse of dominance by MultiChoice in the market for the supply of basic satellite TV services.
The Court has also ordered an additional period of interim protection during which Multichoice is prohibited from removing the relevant eMedia channels from the DStv platform.

RBB submitted several economic expert reports to the South Africa Competition Tribunal and the South Africa Competition Appeal Court to address a range of economic considerations.
