UPC:
  RBB has assisted cable operator UPC, a complainant against the municipality of Amsterdam’s involvement in investments in glass fibre broadband networks. One of the grounds of the complaint was that the municipality should not qualify as a Market Economy Investor.
   
Transport industry:
  RBB has advised a confidential firm in the transport industry on a potential application for rescue and restructuring aid.
   
Banks:
  Economists of RBB have assisted a number of banks that have received State Aid in the financial crisis. We have assessed and provided input on restructuring plans from a competition economists’ perspective and have advised on the likelihood of competitive distortions as well as on compensatory measures.
