Dr Pruzhansky is a Senior Economist based in RBB’s Brussels office. He has more than 5 years of consulting experience and advised clients on a wide range of competition policy matters. Vitaly has worked on mergers and acquisitions raising both horizontal and vertical issues falling within the European merger control jurisdictions. He has advised companies under the European Articles 101 and 102 provisions, as well as their national analogues. Vitaly has prepared expert witness reports and presented them to the courts. He has worked across a wide range of sectors including banking, consumer electronics, energy, FMCG, industrial consumables, media, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and software.
Vitaly has particular experience in advising clients before Russian competition authorities and courts. He is well-known in the Russian antitrust community, being a frequent speaker at high-profile competition conferences. Vitaly has given training seminars to leading law firms and enforcement agencies in Russia on the application of economic analysis in competition investigations. As a member of the non-commercial Partnership “Competition Support Association” Vitaly actively contributes to the development of Russian antitrust legislation.
Vitaly holds a PhD in Economics with specialization in game theory from the Free University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His dissertation focused on various aspects of strategic decision making. He has published articles on competition policy issues and economic theory. Prior to joining RBB Economics Vitaly worked for leading international management consulting firm McKinsey & Company where he advised major corporate clients on a variety of strategic issues including market entry, product positioning and regulation.
