Markus Baldauf joined the London office of RBB Economics in 2004. Since then, he has worked on numerous competition law cases before the European Commission and national competition authorities, including Germany, the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Italy and Romania. Markus is the co-author of a handbook on quantitative techniques of market definition for the Austrian competition authority, and has conducted several workshops on the subject.
Markus specialises in the use of empirical techniques for the analysis of competition cases, including econometric and financial modelling. He is familiar with a range of sectors spanning oil, FMCG, shipping, computer hardware, airlines, distribution systems, pharmaceuticals and telecoms. Markus has recently advised AMD, Blackstone, Ryanair and T-Mobile.
