David Stallibrass is a Special Consultant for RBB, based in China. David joined RBB from the the OFT, where he was a Director in charge of competition enforcement in the Professional Services sector. Prior to becoming a Director, David held a number of roles at the OFT including Senior Economic Advisor in the Office of Chief Economist, and Head of Corporate Strategy.
Before joining the OFT, David worked in private practice for four years, specialising in the regulation of network industries.
In over 10 years as a competition economist, David has advised on a broad range of cases including mergers, abuse of dominance, horizontal and vertical agreements, market inquiries, regulatory reviews, policy formulation, policy evaluation, and price regulation. He specialises in the application of strong first principle economics to novel policy and regulatory challenges and has experience in a diverse array of sectors including financial services, telecommunications, energy, accounting, transport and personal banking.
David obtained a Distinction in the MSc in Economics at the London School of Economics, and took his undergraduate degree at Oxford University.
