Christian Ehmer is a Senior Associate in RBB Economics’ London office. Before joining the firm in October 2004, he worked for a German management consultancy, CTcon.
Christian has advised clients on mergers raising both horizontal and vertical concern and covering a wide range of sectors, both before the European Commission and before national competition authorities in Germany and The Netherlands. He has also advised clients in a number of litigation and arbitration cases involving both Article 101 and Article 102 disputes. His experience in this area covers the analysis of the competitive effects of agreements between firms and the assessment of allegedly abusive conduct, in particular in the context of the telecommunications industry.
Christian has published on a range of competition issues, including the article ‘Science, Myth, and Fines: Do Cartels Typically Raise Prices by 25%? Concurrences No 4-2009 (November 2009): 1-5’, and co-authored RBB responses to draft guidelines issued by various competition authorities.
Christian studied economics at Maastricht University and at the University of California, Berkeley. Christian received his Master degree from Maastricht University on International Economic Studies. As a German national, he is fluent in German, English and Dutch.
